Day 2 @ Malacca (20 Apr 2009)
Posted by 2ma | Posted in Family, Holidays, Shan Leo, Shan Rae |
All of us woke up early on Day 2 as we wanted to head towards Malacca for food. Just before we leave the villa, I took a few photos of the boys by the pool. It was a hot & sunny day.

Here you see Shan Rae couldn't open his eyes coz the sun was so bright. So, Shan Leo offered his sunglasses to his lil' brother. Well, I think its a funny story line photo coz you can see how Shan Leo trying adjust the sunglasses for Shan Rae and at the same time, with his own eyes closed, trying to make sure his lil' brother look at the camera *hehe*

As we were heading to check out and returned the keys, Shan Leo once again reminded us that we have promised him that he could ride on a horse. Since the weather was so hot, and we couldn't see anyone around, we told him that he already took a pony ride last night. Well, Shan Leo insisted again, and since it was a promise, Shan Leo got his horse ride.

He enjoyed the horse ride a lot. But when I asked him which one he likes better - the pony ride of the horse ride? Guess what he reply us??? He says the pony ride is better *alamak* Anyway, Shan Leo looking smart here with his cowboy hat which his KK bought for him last night at the Cowboy Town.

Once we reached Malacca, we went to eat the chicken rice ball. We had planned to go for Nyonya food later of the day just before we head back KL. Hence, after our brunch, we walked around Jonker Street and bought Shan Leo a gun to match with his cowboy hat. Next, we went to the Red House area. The weather was really hot that we just spent some time taking photos. We were too lazy to walk up to check out the fort. Maybe, we will do it the next trip.

KK also insisted to bring Shan Leo to sit on the Eye of Malaysia ferris wheel. As we were about to buy our tickets, a gush of strong wind blew. The wind was really strong, and we saw the chairs and things on the table flying. Hence, we chickened out and decided that we shouldn't take any risk.
So, we went to Tan Kim Hock to buy some local snacks and tried their cendol. Hmm...no good! *shake head* There is no oomph or kick when you eat the cendol. Malacca cendol is nice because of the thick brown sugar *yummy* Thus, we drove back to Jonker Street and bought another 2 packs of the cendol *yum, yum* We also bought some pineapple tarts there. And we leave shortly after that. No Nyonya food fo us coz all of us are still full. So, we said "good bye" Malacca! While daddy was driving, all of us fell asleep in the car. Poor daddy have to struggle keeping himself awake throughout the whole journey back.
