It has been a while since I watch Shan Leo plays the piano. Last Sunday, he played "Incy Wincy Spider" for me.
Incy Wincy spider climbing up the spout Down came the rain and washed the spider out Out came the sun and dried up all the rain Now Incy Wincy spider went up the spout again!
Shan Rae will be 1 years old in 2 months time. At 10 months old, Shan Rae sits and walk confidently. He enjoys standing up on his own, and he will walk a little if he manage to grab hold of anything. Sometimes, he will even let go his hands, and stand without support for probably 2-3 seconds. When he is not lazy, Shan Rae will take a few steps when we hold him in a walking position.
He loves to reach out for things above him, and crawls to places that you tell him "No! Don't go there!" We also noticed that Shan Rae is really good with his hands. In fact, daddy discovered this a few months back. Whenever we put something on his head or we cover our hands on his ears, he will reach out his hand to push it away. Shan Rae can even scratch his mosquito bite on his hand with his other hand. Besides that, he is pretty good with his fingers too. He likes to pick up things. So, we have to be more careful with all the small things around him.
Shan Rae loves to disturb kor kor, and will try to snatch whatever kor kor is playing. Looking at it, Shan Rae has great potential to be a big bully!!! *hehe* Somehow, Shan Rae prefers men more than women. He will open his arms to receive his KK & KF. So, PP is really sad!!! Shan Rae is a "manja" boy and loves to rest his head on our shoulders. He melts my heart each time he "manja" me.
Lately, I love to play this "milk, milk" trick on Shan Rae. I will say "Shan Rae, milk milk", and he will look at the "source". Then, he will slowly put his tiny hand there and take a look at me *hehe*. Hence, myself & mummy likes to play "milk, milk" game with him. We will purposely confuse him, and let him decide where is his "milk, milk". And of course, he is always right!
Shan Rae still can't speak but he will "ooh, aah" really loud when he wants our attention. Check out this video to find out what Shan Rae will do when he is excited...

We took quite a fair bit of nice photos this CNY. I just couldn't resist keeping everything to myself. I want to share all my lovely photos with all. So, this post will be a long one, with loads of photos.
5th day of CNY - We took the boys out for dinner with our high school friend, Emily. Since we were at Mid Valley, we quickly took some photos before we proceed to the restaurant. Just before the food arrives, Aunty Emily gave the boys angpow. Shan Leo love his angpow a lot because it comes in a cute angpow packet which Emily bought specially for the boys. Shan Rae is still too young to appreciate that.
The next day, I took Shan Leo to my boss house. My colleague, Faye brought along her boy, Jayson. Check out how Shan Leo trying to hang on to him to take some photos. Shan Leo didn't succeed, as Jayson doesn't likes to be tied down...*haha*
7th day of CNY - Our family, first "lo sang" of the year in a restaurant. Poor Shan Rae was sitting there wondering what are we doing. Hence, Shan Rae's face was hidden when we took a family "lo sang" photo.
Since we were in a private room, we decided to sing some songs. Shan Leo is very excited because he can sing "月亮代表我的心". He calls it "PP's favourite song". Proudly, he sings it to PP. Besides that, he also sang Beauty & The Beast and Mama Mia. All of us had a good time singing.
After lunch, we went to Pavilion to take some photos. Since we wanted to take family photo, we took a tripod along. It was quite tiring as the weather was quite hot. Nevertheless, when we looked at the photos, we were very happy with it. The sweat is definitely worth it!
On the 13th day of CNY, my parents invited some relatives over to our house for "lo sang" and steamboat.
The next day, we took the boys to Bangsar Village II to watch acrobatic lion dance and meet up my primary school girlfriend for lunch. Well, with 2 toddlers and Shan Leo, we realised that it is so difficult to take a decent photo. After a few shots, we gave up. We can't get all the 3 boys to look at the camera!!!
Finally, the last day of CNY. So fast...last day already! We went for our last "lo sang" of the year at Li Yen @ Ritz Carlton. After dinner, we took a few photos, and say "good bye" to 15 days of CNY!
While waiting for our food to come, I took a fair bit of Shan Rae's photos and choose these few which I really like. Check out his cheeky expression!
The next mission after CNY is to ensure I spend some time to select some photos to print out. The frame is idling in my living room collecting dust...
Well, I seldom write about my friends in my blog. And this is definitely an exception. I actually wrote about our annual tradition last year. Anyway, in case you are wondering what is our annual tradition??? Well, the 4 of us has make it that 4th day of CNY is our annual "lo sang" date. We have been doing this for the last 5 years.
Each year, we make reservations for a table of 4, which is a rather sad case. We have been hoping that each year, our table reservations will grow from 4 to 5, 6, 7 and then 8, and so on. So far, we have never been successful *sob, sob*
The last 5 years, we have been going to different places for our dinner which includes Li Yen @ Ritz Carlton, Shanghai @ JW Marriot, Shang Palace @ Shangri-la, Chynna @ KL Hilton, and Gu Yuet Tin @ Chulan Square. This year, we choose Reunion @ Bangsar Village II. And, we were really happy with our choice. Coz we really had a big feast!
The 4 of us "sapu" all the following dishes:-
1.Yee Sang with Jelly Fish
2.Fried Intestine with Dried Shrimp with Chili Padi
3.Drunken Chicken in Chinese Wine with Jelly Fish
4.Japanese Mushroom with Wa Wa Vegetable
5.Stir Fry Mixed Vegetable with Dried Cuttlefish
6.Fragrant Vegetable Taufu
7.Battered Oatmeal Soft Shell Crab
8.Pork Shank with Jelly Fish
9.Suckling Pig with 2 Roast Meat
10.Deep Fried Salt & Pepper Squid
11.Chilled Sea Coconut with Longan
12.Chilled Mango Cream with Pomelo
All of us were too busy enjoying our dinner that we forgot to take photos of all the food we ordered. So, this is the only photo I took half-way enjoying our dinner *hehe*
The funny part is we only remembered our "yee sang" after eating a few dishes. And since, we didn't want to miss it, we ended our dinner with "yee sang" and desserts *slurp, slurp*
On the 2nd day of CNY, we will eat "hoi lin" lunch together before we gather to take some family photos. And this year, the photos are so much more nicer because we have Shan Rae and my SIL, Chloe.
We didn't really have a colour theme this year even we did talked about it. The colour of the year is purple. So, we thought of making this CNY a purple one. On second thoughts, we thought purple is not an everyday colour especially for guys. After all the talking, we ended up with no themed colour for this CNY *hehe* Anyway, the outcome of the photos are great! I just loved it!
