Sesame Street Party Favors & Deco

The Making of Shan Rae's 2nd Birthday Party

All our hard work paid off when we found this stationery kit.

Here are some Sesame Street stickers and also handy plasters. We packed these in a customized Sesame Street theme top pack.

And we ordered a customized Sesame Street party bag to put in all the goodies for the kids.

For the deco, we bought a scene setters. And, we are really happy with it. The scene setter really help to create a nice themed atmosphere.

Besides the scene setters, we bought 2 Sesame Street helium balloons too.

That is all we could find, and prepared for Shan Rae's 2nd birthday party on 28th March 2010 - almost 2 weeks in advanced of his actual birthday :D

Note: We are considering to sell the scene setters and helium balloons. Doubt we will use it twice. If you are interested, please leave me a message.

Sesame Street & Friends, Where Are You?

The Making of Shan Rae's 2nd Birthday Party

We decided to choose Sesame Street & Friends as the theme for Shan Rae's 2nd birthday party this year. We never thought that it is so difficult to find anything on Sesame Street. The most common we see are Barney, Mickey & Friends, Ben 10, Winnie The Pooh, Cars and Thomas & Friends. We almost gave up!

Well, I guess our patience paid off. We found a few Sesame Street items after going to a few places and searching online. Thus all the kids received a Sesame Street party bag *pat, pat ourselves*

Stingy lil' Rae

I wonder if all kids are generally stingy? See the following 2 pics, and tell me if you kid does the same.

Shan Rae eating his favourite keropok. The moment we ask for a bite, he will do this...

Hide his keropok!!! He will only bring out the keropok once you stop requesting for a bite.

Before I Forgets...

I have to note down all this about Shan Rae before I forgets about it.

Shan Rae loves spicy food
If you praise him for his bravery in eating spicy food, he will eat another piece/spoon of it, so we can praise him again. Once he cannot tahan, he will start to ask for water. And after drinking water, he will ask for more *hehe*

It has to be a whole piece & the biggest
If you offer him a biscuit or a piece of chips, you have to give him a new & the biggest piece. You can't take a bite. And, you can't share with him. When Shan Rae loves to eat something, he will never share his food with you.

Mahjong
His favourite blocks! Shan Rae loves to stack the mahjong like Lego blocks.

Dress up
He loves to be dress up lately. The moment you tell him to try on some clothes, he will quickly remove his undies or diaper.

Happy Birthday
Shan Rae loves it when we sing Happy Birthday! The moment we finished singing, he will pretend "blow candle" & say the word "CUT CAKE!". He can repeat this again and again for a few times at 1-go.

You sit, I sit
He loves to "snatch" our seats. Whenever he sees any of us walk away from our seat, he will quickly take our seat. And, he will wait for us to come back, and see our reactions. He is so cheeky!!!

Massage
Shan Rae loves the massage chair. He knows how to switch it on and enjoy his massage. And when he is not looking, we will switch off the main power. Once the massage chair is off, he will try to switch it on again and again.

Shan Rae never fails to entertain all of us at home with his cheekiness...

Private "Pools"

Since the weather is so hot lately, we decided to let the boys play with water. Thus, we gave them their own private "pools". The boys enjoy themselves a lot.

This is so much better than the big pool because we don't waste so much water.

The brothers when they are not fighting. I managed to take this photo cause mummy is holding a chocolate cup cake waiting for the boys *hehe*

Shan Leo happily playing with his water gun.

Shan Rae plays with the cup. The boys look forward to water play every Sunday :D

Fighting Over a Piece of Tissue

The boys fought yesterday. And yes, they fought because of a piece of tissue!!! In the end, Shan Rae had a cut on his lip because he feel on the floor *sigh*

Mummy complained that Shan Leo still don't understand - as kor kor, he has to take care of his di di. He is not supposed to fight with di di over small things, like a piece of tissue!!!

Shan Leo loves to compare with Shan Rae. He will complained when Shan Rae play with his toy. And, Shan Rae only wants to play with the toy that his kor kor is playing *shake head* Thus, Shan Leo will scream "Not fair!!" Cause, we always ask him to share his toy with Shan Rae, or let him play first. If we buy another one for Shan Rae, he will scream "Not Fair!!" Aiyoh, how lar?

Weekend at Avillion Port Dickson (31 Jan - 1 Feb 2010)

- Backdated Post -

This post is filled with photos. And all the photos will tell you about our short getaway. My parents didn't join us this round. My dad said there is nothing much to do, and hence, my mum have to stay at home with him.

Early in the morning, right after breakfast, we head to Seremban Parade.

All of us wanted to watch "WooHoo". And, we are lucky that we managed to get some tickets. Since we have 30 minutes to kill, we walked around the mall. Mummy purposely dress up the boys in the same clothing. Cute hor? I remembered my mum used to do the same for me and my sis.

"WooHoo" was really good. We are glad that Shan Rae didn't fuss when we were in the cinema.

After the movie, we went to Seremban town for "Hakka" noodle. It is a restaurant run by an old couple, assisted by an Indonesian maid. The noodles were good! Simple and yet tasty!

We stopped by at the Seremban Siew Pau empire after our late lunch. Need to grab some snacks for later.

Finally at about 4pm, we reached Avillion.

We immediately changed the boys for a swim in the pool. I am glad that this time round, both the boys enjoyed themselves much more.

Its dinner time. Food is ok. We enjoyed each other company more *hehe*

After dinner, we went jalan-jalan at the night market. Shan Rae was already asleep by then.

Next morning, we woke up early for breakfast.

And we hurried to the beach. It was really hot!! And, most of the time, we were under the shade. We entertain ourselves by making funny faces & expression...

Shan Leo busy playing with the sand.

And, Shan Rae too.

After almost 2 hours at the beach, we went to the mini farm. We didn't stay for long coz the boys doesn't seems to like it.

We went back to our rooms to clean up and pack everything for check out. While waiting for the rest, I took the boys to the play room.

A group photo before we say goodbye to Avillion.

After check out, we went around looking for food. And, we ended up having the famous Haji Samuri satay for lunch.

Next, we went to Avillion Admiral Cove to look see, look see. The moment they saw us holding a DSLR, the guard stopped us. They do not allow us to take any photos. After explaining to them, they allow us to take a group photo. According to them, they have to guard the privacy of all the yacht owners. Hummpphh... I wonder who are those people, and what will they be doing inside the yacht??? *hehe*

Anyway, we moved on to Thistle (previously Guoman Resort). The hotel is very nice except that it doesn't have much trees. Hence, it was super hot!

Our last stop at PD was the durian stall. Can you see Shan Rae's mouth? It is stuffed with his favourite durian *hehe*

Well, this is a brief photo loaded post on our 2 days, 1 night holiday. All of us enjoyed ourselves a lot, and we look forward to another holiday. Hopefully, we can do it before SIL gives birth :D
