Dinos Alive! @ Pusat Sains Negara

Anything on dinosaurs will excite Shan Leo! Thus, if we tell him that Dinos Alive! will be showing at Pusat Sains Negara from today onwards - I can bet you Shan Leo will be screaming in joy!!!

Dinos Alive! is definitely in our "To-Do/Visit" list this school holidays. Shan Leo has quite a few books about dinosaurs which he reads it again and again. He can easily differentiate all the dinosaurs types, its name, features and characteristics!!! Shan Leo even ask daddy to challenge him :D

Whenever Shan Leo goes to the book stores, he will look for books that talks about dinosaurs. For now, we have stopped him from buying any new books on dinosaurs. The reason is all the dinosaurs books that he chooses are either encyclopedias or dictionary type. Hence, most of the contents are quite similar.

In fact, I was so tempted to bring Shan Leo for the Walking with Dinosaurs show that I heard it from Amy. But, the nearest country to watch this show is in Singapore. And, after working out on the expenses, we decided to call it off. Firstly, mummy can't join us. Secondly, I won't be able to bring 2 boys to Singapore all by myself! Thirdly, if we go for the show, we should also be visiting other places in Singapore such as its famous Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, etc. Lastly, the trip can easily cost me RM1,500 for a 3 days, 2 nights for just the 2 of us. Hence, I am so glad that Dinos Alive! will be showing here :D I know it is different, but it is still better than nothing right? *haha*

Peter Pan - The Musical

We went for Peter Pan - The Musical show yesterday at Amphitheatre, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. It was a last minute arrangement because we had FREE tickets. And, we were seated right in front of the VIPs - YB Dato' Sri Ng Yen Yen, Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah & Datin.

It started to rain as we were walking to the Amphitheatre. Shortly after we were seated, the rain starts to pour. We were wondering if the show will start on time.

Well, 7.30pm sharp, the emcee announced the arrival of the VIPs and the show started soon after a short speech by Mr Aaron Soo, CEO of Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.

The show is quite nice and the boys love it a lot. There are lots of singing and dancing. I even noticed Shan Rae swinging his head, enjoying himself!!! And, as the show ended, YB Dato' Sri Dr Ng YenYen went on stage to give a short speech. After the speech, all the kids were invited on stage for a photo session with all the VIPs and the entire Peter Pan cast.

Too bad I didn't bring my camera yesterday, hence I didn't managed to capture nice photos of the boys with the Peter Pan cast.

We asked the boys who they like? Shan Rae replied that he loves the crocodile. While Shan Leo loves Peter Pan!

For those of you who would like to watch Peter Pan - The Musical, you can find out the pricing and schedule here, at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park website. I was informed that the best shows are on Friday & Saturday nights because you get to visit the Night Park as well!!! This show is definitely something special which you won't get to watch all the times. So, don't miss it!

Shan Rae's "Mightiest Lines"

Shan Rae is an independent boy. He loves to do things himself. If he says he wants to do it himself, and you helped him, he will scream and protest!!!

Check out this little boy enjoying his lunch.

Slurp, slurp...

I am done *burp*

Shan Rae is tired of me taking his photos. So, he covered his face!!!

Anyway, I just want to note down a few commonly used, or maybe I should say, over used lines that Shan Rae loves to tell us. I called it as Shan Rae's "mightiest lines"!!! Why? He thinks these few lines can turn him into some kind of super hero!!! So, I better note it here before he gets tired of it.

Well, Shan Rae loves to say the following lines whenever we challenged him.

"I have dinosaur mouth!"
- Shan Rae will open his mouth really big when he wants to eat something he likes. He will tell us "I have dinosaur mouth!". This explains why he loves to watch Ice Age again and again. Shan Rae is particularly attentive when it comes to the part where the dinosaurs R-O-A-R!!!

"I have big gun!"
- Whenever we tell him anything that he cannot do or not supposed to do because it is dangerous, he will say "I have big gun!". Shan Rae thinks as long he has a gun, he will be really powerful and strong!!!

"I have long pants!"
- Shan Rae loves to ask "Who is taller?" If we said the other person/thing is taller, he will say "I have long pants". Shan Rae thinks whenever he wears long pants, he is very tall *hehe* Hence, when we put on any long pants for him, we have to make sure the pants cover his ankle, or else, he will throw tantrum!!!

We love to tease Shan Rae using his "mightiest lines" and he will blush *haha*

Marche Kid's Fun School Holiday Cooking Classes

Marche Kid's Fun School Holiday Cooking Classes is back! Well, they actually have this every school holidays. But, we always miss it :(

Shan Leo went for it once when Marche first started the kids cooking class. You can read my previous post here. He had so much fun and wanted to go again. Thus, I am happy when I know Marche will have this running till 31st December 2010. The only part which I am not happy is the price. Previously, we paid RM18 only. The kids get to bake 2 items (sausage rolls and raisins & choc chips buns), take home their own creation, 1 drink and a certificate. Now, Marche is charging RM27 for almost the same items - except for the Picky Meal voucher!!! Will need to check out on the voucher if its worth the additional RM9.

Anyway, if you are interested to bring your kids for 2 hours of cooking fun, you can check out their classes details here. There are different classes offered each week.

Well, I am still considering if I should bring Shan Leo for it. I am also interested in Peter Pan - The Musical, whereby I can get some good discounted tickets. So, it is either cooking class or musical show...

We Love Super Villian Megamind!

Yeah, it's another movie date with the boys, and we watched Megamind. It is really a nice movie, and at the end of the show, you will surely fall in love with super villian Megamind!!! He is so funny!!!

So, who is Megamind? Well, he is the most brilliant super villain the world has ever known... and the least successful! *haha* This movie is about how Megamind tried to conquer Metro City, and he failed every single time because of superhero, Metro Man. But, one day, Megamind actually defeated Metro Man! Somehow, he wasn't happy... Wanna know why? Find out the answers in the movie!

The boys enjoyed the movie as much as I do. Next on our movie list is Rapunzle, A Tangled Tale :D

Graduation Concert 2010

My darling Shan Leo has graduated from kindergarten. In less than 2 months time, he will be attending Standard 1. Shan Leo is growing up fast. Soon, he will tell me that he doesn't wants to follow us out or go on movies date with me *sob sob* What a scary thought!!!

Anyway, back to the Graduation Concert. The concert was well organized. This year, the school put up lots of barriers around the kids changing rooms and the stage to prevent over-enthusiastic parents from disturbing the kids. Hence, I was walking around the changing room areas, hoping to take some photos of Shan Leo before the concert starts.

I managed to snap a few photos of Shan Leo when the teacher took a few of them out for a toilet break :D

And, I had to "pause" Shan Leo for a quick snapshot when he was walking towards the concert hall. I didn't take any photos of Shan Leo dancing on stage as the school had a professional video man and photographers to capture it. So, I am still waiting for the video & photos.

Well, Shan Leo's class did a Chinese dance. I think he looks really good in this Chinese costume. In fact, he was really disappointed when he learnt that his class was doing a Chinese dance only. Shan Leo was hoping to do some modern dance like the famous Wonder Girls, Nobody.

The concert ended punctually. We dressed up Shan Leo once again with his graduation outfit for a quick photo session before we leave. Each graduating student received a lovely framed up graduation photo. I would say the school did a very good job!

I am sure Shan Leo will miss his kindergarten days when he begins primary school next year.

3 Rounds of LeXperience

After 3 rounds of sliding down the world's tallest indoor tube slide, Shan Leo still wants more!!! It is really difficult to capture photos of him as he arrives. I have to stand behind a glass panel, and wait for him to come. And, this is the best shot I got!

Well, this photo tells me Shan Leo truly enjoy this adrenaline rush :D

LeXperience - World's Tallest Indoor Tube Slide

Do you want to give this a try? It is 5 storey high, 50 metres long and it only takes you 10 seconds to reach the bottom of the slide!

This is Lex Slide - the world's tallest indoor tube slide. And, it is currently available at Empire Shopping Gallery.

It cost you RM12/- for a 10 second adrenaline rush. And, we saw quite a few young kids going for it.

Shan Rae wanted so much to try it. But, the minimum height requirement is 110cm. Hence, we wonder if Shan Leo would want to try it. Well, he was soundly sleeping then. Hence, we didn't managed to ask him.

And last weekend, while I was out of town, mummy took the boys there again. Shan Leo took the slide, and fell in love with it! So, I promised Shan Leo that I will bring him again after his exams. Hmm... probably I will take the RM45 package, which is good for 5 rounds of adrenaline rush!!!

Would you want to give it a try too?
