In another 10 days time, Shan Rae will be 3 years old! Time really flies. This cheeky little boy is still as cheeky as ever. And, he never fails to charm all the people around him. For his upcoming birthday, there will not be any big birthday party celebration like last year. Instead, we will organize a simple birthday luncheon only. For now, I am thinking hard what present to get for him...
Shan Leo was not feeling well yesterday while he was in school. He went to alert his teacher. And the conversation (in Mandarin) goes...
SL: Teacher, I am not feeling well.
T: Who can I contact to pick you up?
SL: My mummy is working at XXX, and cannot come and fetch me now.
T: How about your father?
SL: Yes, you can call him and his mobile is XXX-XXXXXXX.
Hence, daddy went to fetch him. He was down with fever and sore throat. But, I am glad that he is fine today.
When I heard this update from mummy, I immediately told her that I am very proud of Shan Leo. He was very calm, he didn't cry and, he can even explain to the teacher that mummy is busy and gave daddy's mobile number to his teacher. Good job Shan Leo! I am really proud of you :D
We took the boys to Cosmo's World Theme Park (Berjaya Times Square) last December. And, we had a great time!
This amusement park is quite similar to the Genting Indoor Theme Park. The difference here is, there is no long queue. Hence, the boys can go for the rides as many times they like. The park has 2 floors. Level 7 consists of rides for the younger kids. And, Level 5 are for teenagers.
There is also a playground for the kids. We were allowed to leave the amusement park once. So, we went out for lunch and some shopping before continuing the rides again.
We also took the opportunity to check out the Ice Age Expo. It was a crappy expo. I think we wasted RM18 for it. We were conned by the attractive posters.
Anyway, we took some funny photos there.
Shan Rae's favourite line - Whose mouth is bigger? *haha*
Every single day that Shan Rae stays with us, he will surely play with the lion head. You can see his eyes brighten up the moment you mentioned about lion dance! Shan Rae loves to play with the lion head, drum and also the Laughing Buddha.
He saw the lion giving out oranges, hence he also follow the same. Cute lil' fella!
Yeah, Shan Leo has to do at least 1 Kumon worksheet everyday. So, whenever we are out for the day shopping, or when we are travelling, Shan Leo will have to complete his Kumon worksheet during breakfast or lunch time. I can still remember clearly when Shan Leo did his first Kumon worksheet. It was on 2nd April 2007, inside a small cafe at Macau. Just so happened, we were in HK/Macau for a holiday. This is Shan Leo's 5th year doing Kumon worksheets, and it is getting harder and harder. And, he has learned to bargain with his mummy on when, and how many worksheets he would want to complete in a day!
Whatever the kor kor does, Shan Rae wants to follow. So mummy ask him to join the dots. He looks really serious here cause we have a friend with us watching him *hehe* So, the little boy wanna show off a bit! Well, Shan Rae is not ready for Kumon yet. He is still learning his ABCs and numbers.
Just can't compare both the boys. They are so different!
This is surely one of my favourite video of the boys. Both the boys love to perform lion dance. Shan Rae plays the "head", while Shan Leo took the "tail". I saw them playing for a while before I decided to video it. It is really funny because Shan Leo keeps pulling the "tail", and Shan Rae's "head" keeps falling back. You have to watch the video, and you will understand why it is so funny.
March is coming to an end, and I have yet to update about our Chinese New Year. Hence, I decided to do a quick update with a couple of photos. In fact, this CNY felt really short, and we didn't managed to take many photos - especially some nice family photos which we took previously *sigh*
On the 1st day of CNY, we have a lion dance performance at home. The boys are really excited cause they really love to watch lion dance performance.
I don't have many photos with the boys this CNY. But, I am glad that I have this photo with both the boys smiling happily!
Just like last year, we visited a charity home. This time, we visited an old folks home instead of orphanage because we realised that all the angpow we gave to the kids goes back to the home. And, we don't really like this.
Our annual family lo sang lunch at The Hans Room, Mid Valley. Food is good!
While waiting for the lion dance performance, we took a quick family photo again. Too bad that both Shan Rae & Miu Miu are asleep.
Well, this is basically our CNY. The one thing which we did the most this CNY is watching lion dance performance in shopping malls, and also the boys performing lion dance!!! I will blog about this next.
Can you recognize the little girl here? She is Cassandra, Health Freak Mommy's youngest daughter. Glad that Shan Rae finally met Cassandra! Both of them share the same birthday - 9th April.
Well, we have tried a few times to organize an outing more than a year ago. But, gave up after a while. And, just when we didn't expect, we met at a shopping mall. Good that Shireen can recognized the boys, and call me. Or else, we would have just passed by each other unknowingly. This is what I call as fate!
It is so nice to see the little boy & little girl holding hands here :D
We watched Rango last Saturday. Since I couldn't find the movie poster, hence no photo of the boys at the cinema. Besides, my hands are full holding their sweet corns, pop corn, drinks and the tickets :D
This movie is about a chameleon named Rango, who is a dreamer. He dreams to be a hero, and finally, got his chance to be a hero! Lots of funny scenes in between, and I saw the boys laughing loud. Personally, I don't like all the ugly looking characters in the movie. Doubt girls will like this movie??? Anyway, glad that the boys enjoyed the movie.
The boys told me they wanted to watch the following upcoming movies - Rio (7 April) and Kung Fu Panda II (26 May). Luckily they didn't tell me they want Hop (31 Mar) too *phew* But, I might bring the boys watch Hop (if time permits) coz I wanted to watch it. Hop is quite similar to Alvin & The Chipmunks, which is really fun to watch. Stay tuned for my next movie outing update!
